By compressing your WordPress site with GZip, you will speed up your website tremendously. Ask your web host to upgrade you to the latest version of PHP.

Protect Your Blog From Spam.  Use AkismetWordfence Security provides anti-virus protection, a firewall. and a high-speed cache.
XML Sitemap
Create an XML Sitemap to submit to Google Search Console which will help Google. I do use Yoast SEO for sitemaps.
Use A CDN (Content Delivery Network)
A CDN is a service that will speed up the time it takes your website to load for a user because a CDN uses the server closest to the user.
Permalink Structure
Ensure your permalink structure to something SEO-friendly and keep the permalinks short and relevant, 3-4 words is good.

  • Find a fast hosting service.
  • Devise an internal linking strategy.
  • If you have a popular post update it and keep adding more content.
  • Use proper header structure.
  • Don’t install and activate too many plugins at the same time. Try to keep the maximum number of plugins activated under 15.
