Being involved with SEO & AdWords for 13 years hand have studied many SEO techniques and websites. There are correct SEO methods and other methods that could get you banned fro Google.

I have consulted with website designers on behalf of business owners to ensure that appropriate SEO techniques are being used as well as used my SEO to fix issues on entire websites.

Google favors a site that has proper security. Those sites begin with HTTPS. If you are still using HTTP, that is not good.  You’ll need an SSL certificate from your web host to show Google be a secure site and get a slight rank bump from Google. Many hosting companies will give you an SSL certificate for free.

I ensure appropriate META <TITLE> tags are on each page.  Many sites have no title tags but it is one of the most important factors Google takes into consideration in determining a page’s topic, strength, and rank.

An HTML tag <H1> important too. I will explain later.  Meta Descriptions are also important not for any SEO ranking factors but into communicating to the customer why to click to your website.  It needs to be enticing, informative, titillating (if such a Meta Description exists) and create the illusion that the user’s answers will all be solved by clicking on the link.  You better have that information there because one of the worst things that can happen is if a user clicks on your page and clicks right back.  That’s called bound-rate and the longer a user stays on your web page the more Google believed the user has found what they were searching for and are engaged by the content.  That’s why there are so many people with videos and slideshows on their landing pages.  They are desperate for people to stay to the end of the lengthy video clip when the “amazing offer” is revealed.

Additionally, terms typed in the Meta Description by the user will be bolded in the description which will add attention to your site’s search ranking and hopefully gets more click through ratings.

Meta keywords are very unimportant except for showing your competitors what keywords you are going after.  It is a throw-back to Meta keyword search engines where webmasters would stuff as many keywords in as possible hoping to get some sort of traffic.

However HTML <H1> <H2> <H3> HTML headers are very important. Think of it as an outline and each of those tags must contain keywords relevant to the page content.

  3. <H3>…

Don’t overdo it.  Google doesn’t want to see 70 <H1> Headers on a single page.

Currently, more of these main Meta Title tags and HTML Header tags are empty or on many sites or have the same short content that tells Google nothing about your page or site or content or anything of real value.

Link building is also very important especially with local search directories that contain your business information (Name, Address, Phone, NAP, Web Address) and will appear in Google and point to your site. In theory. the higher up these sites rank the more link juice you will get to you and your keywords.

I will make your WordPress site very fast according to Google standards. Google favors fast sites and so od users. Mobile and speed are key Google factors, your site must be Mobile friendly and must be very fast, both on the desktop and on Mobile. Ways to do this are to compress and defer the rendering of HTML. Javascript script and definately compress your pictures which your developer should know how to do. If you are using WordPress, many themes are also mobile and responsive ready.

If a client needs content management, there are tools to auto-post to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, and others.

Google My Business is extremely important for local SEO as well as Google Maps and local citation directories.

Try to blog 2-3 times a week even a short 500-word blog although Google prefers 1000 words and update older blog posts with new content.

Here is the scoop…as of 5/21/2016.
Decided to compile a list of Keyword Websites & Tools similar to a post I created yesterday with information on the leading Search Engine Optimization Competitive websites.
It took me less than an hour to compile the Keyword list and to find out which Keyword Tools were free, paid or paid with limited free trials.
I tested each website I found and thought I had compiled a decent list.
Then I come across a post on smallbusinessideasblog.com.  It turns out this blogger spent way more time than I did researching and mining LinkedIn groups for Keyword Website and Tool options than I did and eventually his list grew to over 100!
So, below it my list with my Keyword Tool research and at the bottom is a link to 100+ different Keyword Websites and Tools.  As far as I know all you need to do is give the blogger your name and email address and you get instant access to his page.
