SEO & Google Ads Proposal For New Small Business Clients
SEM Action Items And Tasks
SEO Audit and Review
An outline draft of one of my early SEO proposals.
As part of my SEO methodology, I perform a Technical SEO Audit to identify website errors that may be bleeding SEO and inhibiting your ranking on Google. I am basically grading your website.
If applicable I use local SEO techniques for clients to have a chance to appear in Google’s Top 3 Local Map Pack. The map pack is a highly utilized feature on certain Google search engine results pages. One of the key aspects of the pack is that it appears above the regular Google organic search results. Visibility and placement of the local pack feature is due to the fact that 46% of Google’s search queries are local.
I research competitors to examine their SEO & Google AdWords keywords, ads, bids, landing pages, and backlinks using pro tools.
On-Site and Off-Site SEO to determine optimizations needed. Examine internal linking.
Perform another technical SEO audit using Screaming Frog spider to ensure Google can successfully crawl and index you.
Improve META Titles and HTML headers. Improve META Descriptions.
Many WordPress specialists use Yoast SEO to optimize WordPress for SEO. Yoast SEO is a great plugin, however, that is just the beginning of SEO. Much more can be done to optimize your WordPress website for SEO.
Website Speed-Ups & WordPress SEO

By compressing your WordPress site with GZip, you will speed up your website tremendously. Ask your web host to upgrade you to the latest version of PHP.
Often overlooked. Use an image compression plug-in to decrease your load time especially if you have many images or infographics. A standard SEO best practice is to add appropriate keywords to the alt image tags. There are many image compression systems available. Implement a lossless compression first. If they look good you may want to try a lossy system,
Deactivate Plugins You Rarely Use
By deactivating and uninstalling plugins overhead that would slow down your website load time is eliminated especially if you optimize your database afterwards.
Optimizing Your Database

Make your site mobile-friendly. Google is swiftly rolling out its mobile-first index.
Protect Your Blog From Spam. Use Akismet. Wordfence Security provides anti-virus protection, a firewall. and a high-speed cache.
Create an XML Sitemap to submit to Google Search Console which will help Google. I do use Yoast SEO for sitemaps.
Use A CDN (Content Delivery Network)
A CDN is a service that will speed up the time it takes your website to load for a user because a CDN uses the server closest to the user.
Ensure your permalink structure to something SEO-friendly and keep the permalinks short and relevant, 3-4 words is good.
Other WordPress SEO tips:
